New Balance and Boston-based sneaker store Concepts have teamed up to release a special edition 997 sneaker. This limited edition sneaker is a tribute to the longstanding rivalry between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. The New York Yankees version of the 997 is inspired by the Statue of Liberty, and features a mint-hued suede upper with silver accenting, and a grey pebbled leather application on the tongue, lining and heel. The shoe sits on a white ENCAP midsole, which provides extra cushioning and support. This sneaker is sure to be a hit with collectors and fans of either team.
